About the educational program:
The electric power industry is one of the main areas of energy, without which it is impossible to imagine the modern world and modern technologies. In most cases, the equipment around us depends on electricity, and its correct and efficient installation and transmission plays an important role in everyday life.
In the electric power engineering program, students will be able to learn how to properly operate power stations and networks, how to transfer electricity, design electric power installations, and develop electric power systems and networks. Students will also acquire various theoretical knowledge in the field of electricity, such as the basics of electrical engineering and electrical systems, and will be able to develop their skills in the areas of physics and understanding of electricity generation and consumption.
In the future, graduates of the educational program “electric power” will be able to work as specialists in the power supply system, specialists in electric power safety, power dispatchers, electrical engineers, electrical engineers, specialists in the operation of power stations, electrical equipment engineers, power grid controllers, electrical equipment installers and many other areas related to generation, transmission, sales and work with electricity.
The electric power engineering program provides students with a set of theoretical knowledge about the basics of power supply, electromechanics and generation, consumption and transmission of electricity. Students will be able to learn how electricity is created from the conversion of heat and other types of energy, how to efficiently transport electricity, how to manage electricity flows, and how to work with devices that control all of the above processes.
In addition, students will learn how to work with electric power stations, networks and systems, which includes correct operation of these technologies, maintenance, optimization of networks and systems, work with electric power transport, design of networks and power complexes, automation of electrical systems, calculation of optimal parameters of equipment operation and measurement of indicators, calculation of electric power loads on the network and many other skills. Students will also learn how to create electrical devices and solve problems in the electric power industry.
Students will also be able to develop their installation and design skills for future work with the development of electrical devices, design of electric power circuits and electro-mechanics.
