When you can transfer to the training courses applying distance educational technologies?

During the vacation, before the beginning of the semester.

What kind of documents are required to transfer to training courses applying distance educational technologies?

You should clarify the possibility of being transferred to distance learning at the University Registrar.

Application to the Rector on transfer to the distance learning in the established form which you could find at the Registrar.

Well-reasoned grounds for transfer to the distance learning (why is there such a need?).

Letter of employment.

Disabled persons should provide recommendation of psychological-medical-pedagogical counselling.

Upon positive decision on transfer to the distance learning, the students should preform their Individual curriculum and training schedule.

How does the distance learning work and what technologies are used?

ETU distance learning system is realized mostly on the network technology by providing access to educational resources via the Internet.

Distance learning is delivered on the Platonus-based University IS platform.

Moreover, the distance learning can be delivered on the case technology, where students are offered a CD distribution.

All students transferred to the distance learning should have a unique username and password to log in to education portal.

Distance learning process:

  • the courses are conducted remotely without being in contact with a teacher;
  • the student receives educational materials (at the educational portal when using network technology or on CD when using case technology) and studies individually during the academic period according to the approved academic calendar;
  • within one academic period (semester) the students study all disciplines registered in their individual curriculum;
  • if there are any questions the student may seek advice by contacting a teacher by telephone and via the Internet online or offline;
  • upon completion of the studies during the interim assessment is carried out a mid-term and final examination;
  • knowledge assessment can be carried out remotely or at the university in the form of test or oral and written exams;
  • for having a final examination (an exam) on discipline it is necessary to score at least 50% of mid-term examination, otherwise the student shall not be allowed to the exams and shall re-study the course in the summer semester;
  • when the student masters fully the educational program (not less than 129 credits), he/she will be allowed to undergo a final assessment;
  • a final assessment is conducted at the university pursuant to the forms established by the State Attestation Committee.
